How not to Half-Ass(essment) it!

Well-intentioned condominiums and property managers occasionally approach building envelope and structural assessments of their properties with less-than-ideal strategies. Whether it's assuming a minor leak was adequately addressed with just half a tube of caulking, placing too much reliance on free contractor estimates, or depending solely on visual observation instead of conducting necessary exploratory openings—these missteps can have repercussions. Proper planning, expertise, and understanding how to fund large projects are often necessary to ensure you’re not opening a foreseeable can of worms.

SPEAKERS:
Lyndsey MacNally, Director, Condominium Lending Group
Andrew Van Bakel, Regional Director – Eastern Ontario, Keller Engineering
Garrett Perkins, Associate, Building Science and Restoration, RJC Ltd.
